I love orange soda.

Okay, so this post is not about orange soda, but who can forget that annoying phrase from Nickelodeon's 'Kenan & Kel'.

Anyway, I'm suffering the world's worst illness right about now (cough, cold, fever, the works. NO I DON'T HAVE SWINE FLU.), and half the college fears I will infect them. Heh. But I digress.

If you're Chinese, or maybe Asian, remember how your mother or grandmother used to tell you, "Don't drink orange juice when you're coughing. It will make it worse."

WELL WHAT DO YOU KNOW. Another Chinese myth proven wrong. Citrus fruits actually aid in curing coughs. So you should drink orange juice when coughing. Ohmygod. Half my life avoiding orange juice because of that. I am so peeved. :(

I swear Chinese myths are so insane sometimes.

Don't sleep in front of a mirror. Don't eat/drink chicken/orange juice/fruits/a number of outrageous foods when you're coughing. Don't wear a shirt with a tiger/shark/any fierce-type animal on it. -_- Don't wear anything with snakes on them. Don't cut your nails at night. Don't shower right after you eat. Don't whistle while you cook. Don't sing at night. Don't. Don't. Don't. Eeeeeshhh.

Some might say, I'm neglecting my Chinese culture, but some of these old wives' tales are crazy and so annoying when your mother doesn't let you do a hundred of things just cause her mum told her it was bad.

Ramblings.

Stumbled upon this career aptitude test I did in 2006. I am strongly advised to take up a career in the Arts, and I quote, "Creative Arts like Designing, Literacy Arts such as Journalism and Writing, Visual Arts like Advertising and Broadcasting, Performing Arts or Event Management."

Apparently, I am individualistic, creative, original, not agreeable, an extrovert, independent, temperamental, rule insensitive (HAHA! So true. >:) ), completely NOT empathic - I SCORED A ONE ON A SCALE FROM ONE TO TEN AHHAHAHAH. Also irrational, indecisive, apprehensive and highly competitive.

Hmm, sums me down to a pat.

The next few paragraphs describe my aptitude to basically do anything (BIG HELP. *rollseyes.*) and so I can do whatever I so wish to do in the future. Nice, a career test that tells me I can do anything.

I scored embarrassingly low on the Humanitarian side of things and so probably should not do much work dealing with helping people... *cough.* MEDICINE. *cough.* Haha. Am wondering whether my decision to be a doctor is really badly thought out. :( But I WANT to do medicine. I don't think anything else will settle. :/ Oh the dilemma of life.

I really thought I would start blogging way more over the summer. But I find my interests in blogs are slowly diminishing. Like I rarely feel the need to blog about anything now and I've stopped reading blogs too. It's horrible. I don't even know what I do online anymore. It's like I spend hourrsss online, but I don't DO anything. I think i simply just waste time. :/

Hopefully, I'll find my interest again. But until then, I declare this blog on hiatus.

And also, my camera is out of commission for a while. *COUGH.* FU. *COUGH.* Hence, no pictures for a while. A long long while.



Besides, I really don't think anyone actually reads this blog anymore. :(

Nine to five.

So, summer has been rather hectic and I haven't had the time to blog. Here's a brief recap of my past two weeks.

Flight was pretty alright. Slept most of the way (as opposed to Genna. HAHA. :D) and watched Coraline. It wasn't bad I suppose; would've been better on a bigger screen with clearer graphics. :/ I sat next to this adorable Australian woman who got overexcited while watching A Bug's Life and made little gasps the entire movie. :) And this huge English man who played Tetris for practically the entire flight. :/ We had brief conversations about salted peanuts and Malaysian weather and I got fairly paranoid when the woman sneezed after telling me she was "going home to Australia."

The night I arrived home, dinner at OU with Wengyee, Puiyi and Melissa for standard catching up. :) :) :)
Jetlagged the entire of Monday. :/
Caught lunch and watched Transformers on Tuesday with Adrian. :)
Went to KDU on Wednesday for Paramount Championship, over to Hartamas Square, Breakers, Devi's, saw my stupid chihuahua! :) Slept over at Aleena's!
Movie-d (Ice Age 3) with her and Amanda on Thursday, before we all hit MOS with Wengyee, Charles, Russell and Jienyoong. Amanda felt faint, :P and so we left early. Rasta's with Aleena.
Slept in on Friday and caught a midnight film - Last House On The Left - with Puiyi&Marcus AND Melissa&Yewloong. -_- Yes. Them four. Good gore though, satisfied. :)
Saturday was shopping and Promtay. It wasn't amazing though music was pretty decent for a while. Left a little past midnight to Aleena's cousin, Hariz's friend, Hafiz's friend, Dharshen's house party thingy thing. :P Good fun. :) And like met a long lost friend there! Haha. Small world. :) Mamak-ed before finally arriving at Aleena's for another sleepover at 6-ish. :P
Sunday, dragged Aleena and Amanda out of bed for Cheer '09. And collapsed home exhausted, early night till next morn. :)

This week I'm attached at Tropicana Medical Centre. The halfdays are deceivingly not halfdays. :/ I get home fairly exhausted everyday. But it's good experience I suppose, and I am glad. :)


Dinner with Lam and Wengyee Tuesday night, and today I went out with Genna and Shingyi! Catching up was nice and we watched Obsessed which was a decent film. Them two are fairly embarrassing to movie-go with. All shrieky and excited and whatnot. :P

Hmm. Am to lunch with Gavin tomorrow and to MOS for that dance competition thing to support the Chan and her team. :) And to mock Wuiyang. :P Dinner with MA BOYS Saturday night!! ;) :D :D :D And finally, to possibly start learning to drive on Sunday! :)


I will really put up pictures soon. If only to get Russell off my case. :P The shrivelled skinny one. Yes, that thing. Haha! :) Jokes. :)
