holidays have begun.

yay. exams are OFFICIALLY over! =) and the holidays have begun. wheeheee. monday's puiyi's birthday and now we have to stress over what to get her. nothing much happened today.... ohh.

i watched perfume:the story of a murderer today.

among familiar faces:

alan rickman; hahaha. wig.

and rachel hurd-wood. yes would you believe it. little miss wendy darling.

my, my, someone sure has grown. i was pretty shocked when i found out it was her.

and the main star; ben whishaw. jean-baptiste grenouille himself.

basically the story line is..

Jean-Baptiste Grenouille, "one of the most gifted and abominable personages in an era that knew no lack of gifted and abominable personages"who was born lacking a personal odour (a fact other people find disquieting) but endowed with an incomparable sense of smell, he apprentices himself to a perfumer and becomes obsessed with procuring the perfect scent that will make him fully human. In the process, he creates perfumes—presumably based on pheromones—that powerfully manipulate human emotions, murdering 26 girls to take their scent.

yes. in some very disturbing ways. in the end he creates this perfume which makes everybody think he's an angel and so they didn't kill him but he realises that he could never love or be loved so he goes back to where he was born, pours the whole bottle over him and gets EATEN. yes. hahahahahaha.

it was based on the book. perfume:the story of a murderer by German writer Patrick Süskind. it was pretty cool. in a really twisted way.

basically, that was my day. =) oh did you know that grenouille means frog in french? i thought it was funny. hehehe.
